What services do you have as a web developer?
I offer a wide range of services to meet the specific needs of my clients. This includes creating websites in general, online stores, blogs, course platforms, landing pages, and other types of websites customized to each person's business. I also link the site to external platforms, such as a newsletter. Each project is unique and I make it a point to offer the best solution to each client.
How much does it cost to make a website?
The cost of a website depends on several factors, such as the complexity of the project, the number of pages and the modules added (online store, blog, course platform, newsletter integration, etc.). Each project is unique and requires a customized approach. Therefore, I do not offer pre-defined packages and prices, as I believe in finding the ideal solution to meet your specific needs.
In the end I present a detailed and transparent proposal based on the specifics of your project to ensure that everything in the budget makes sense for your business.
How does the process of creating a website work?
The process of creating a website begins with a detailed analysis of the project objectives and the construction of the budget. After you approve it, we choose the design together, analyzing various alternatives and define the content structure for the different pages and/or products. An iterative process follows, with me adding the information you provided for the various pages, asking for feedback and making changes until the site is ready. At the end, we run several tests to make sure everything is ready before the site is launched.
Besides the costs of creating the site, are there any other monthly or yearly costs?
Yes, besides the costs of creating the site, you have annual costs for hosting and domain renewal, which are paid directly to the companies that manage these services (I usually use Hostinger).
There are no other recurring costs unless you want to add additional features to the site in the future as your business grows and it makes sense to expand the website. At that point you can count on me!
How long does the website creation process take?
The development time for a website varies with the complexity and specific requirements of the project. Simple websites (one or two pages) can be developed in a few weeks, depending on my availability, while more complex websites (several pages, online store, blog, online courses, etc) or with custom features can take months to complete. In a first meeting, it is important to discuss all the details of the project and then I can give a more precise estimate of the development time.
If I can make the site myself on Wix, Shopify or SquareSpace, why should I hire you?
While it is true that these platforms offer ease in creating websites, the result in terms of aesthetics and functionality of the site will usually not be the same compared to a professionally designed site. But I am a suspect haha.
It can be a viable option in the very short term and for a very limited budget. However these platforms have very high recurring costs due to their "ease", which ultimately makes them more expensive in the medium to long term. Also, these platforms are not as flexible and do not offer as many free plugins as WordPress, which can limit site expansion and customization.
Bottom line, if you are in an exploration phase, try these platforms! Some even have free plans (with many limitations) that you can explore. But if you want to get a website to grow, talk to me 🙂
Do you do online stores?
I do! Either for selling physical products or for selling digital products. I'll give you specific examples about both types of products. In the store of Vó Elisa you can order spices, teas, dried fruit, etc., with home delivery or pickup at the store. And in the online store of Põe-te na Linha, you will find ebooks of recipes, menus, planners, and online subscription programs. See other examples in my portefólio.
What technologies do you use?
I mainly use WordPress because it is cost-effective, has an intuitive back-office for the client (it is relatively easy to add and change content) and is flexible for future development. However, I can also make changes to websites on other platforms or technologies.
I already have a website, but I don't like it. Can you help me?
Yes! Let's talk about your site and discuss how we can make the necessary changes so that you are happy with your project and reach the goals you have set. Don't worry, in no time you'll have a more beautiful and functional site.
Will my site be responsive, i.e. compatible with mobile devices?
Yes, all the websites I develop are designed to be responsive, which means that they automatically adapt to different screen sizes, including mobile devices such as smartphones and tablets. This ensures that the site is accessible and easy to read on any device, providing a consistent experience across all of them.
Can I update the site content on my own after launch?
Yes, most of the sites I create are based on WordPress, which has a very intuitive back-office. In addition, I use the Elementor plugin that makes editing content easy.
At the end of each project, and depending on the various modules of the site, I also teach my clients how to change essential site information, create posts, change and create new products, send newsletters, run promotions and create discount coupons in the store.
Still, if you don't want to have this work, or need more complex developments, you can count on me!
How is the technical support done after the launch of the site?
After the website is completed, there are no planned recurring costs for you to have the website, except with hosting and domain, because I train you to make the basic changes to your site. But if you want and/or need my help I am here!
I offer support on bug fixes that may arise with updates, plugin and site security updates, and other issues you may want to improve on the site. Also, if you want to develop extra modules on the site you can count on me. When you need it, talk to me and we'll make a budget.
